Knowledge Based Research & Business Project (Ecosciences Project)

The Ecosciences Precinct was built on the 9.5ha Old Boggo Road Gaol site at Dutton Park and forms part of the Boggo Road Urban Village. The Government-funded project is Australia’s first multi-agency centre, bringing together over 1,000 research staff from the Department of Environment and Research Management; the Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation; and the CSIRO. The facility includes office and laboratory space, computer rooms, greenhouses, glasshouses, insectaries, controlled climate facilities, conference facilities, meeting rooms, an information centre and other purpose-built buildings.
