Mastic Calculator

While the rest of the world has been getting back into the groove of work for 2020, Kilargo has been busy producing a new feature for our IFD range to make your life a little easier.

Consumable products can be wasteful if not utilised correctly. To ensure you aren’t wasting time, money and materials, we have developed the IFD Mastic Calculator which compliments our Intumescent Fire Damper installations.

Before you install a Kilargo Intumescent Fire Damper, you can pre-calculate precisely how much mastic is required to install your product. Less mess, less waste!

Now that we have saved you some time by creating a great new tool to use, why not take a moment to check out the calculator?

You can find it located on each of our product pages or the main IFD Product portal.

Australian Bushfire Season 2019

With the upcoming change of season, Australia has begun to prepare itself for another Bushfire Season around the country.

In 2003, Canberra experienced significant bushfires causing loss of life and major damage to property across the region. Since that time, the Australian Standard relating to building in bushfire prone areas had been revised and a new Australian Standard (AS3959) was drafted.

In 2009 after another series of devastating bushfires in Victoria, this Standard was extensively reviewed and clearer guidelines on the construction requirements for bushfire prone areas were developed.

A great deal of scientific modelling has gone into the new building Standard AS3959-2009 (Construction of buildings in bushfire-prone areas). We now have a system to determine the type of building construction required in bushfire prone areas in order to improve their resistance to bushfire attack from burning embers, radiant heat or flames generated by a bushfire.

Kilargo has produced a series of Door Sealing Systems to assist during the construction of buildings in these Bushfire Prone areas – with a focus on defending against potential risk of fire.

Take a look at our mini bushfire brochure below to find out how Kilargo can help you defend against potential bushfire damage.
